Subaru Rally Team USA (SRT USA) made its competitive debut at the challenging Rim of the World ProRally in Palmdale, California. Subaru Rally Team USA is a collaboration between Subaru of America, Subaru Tecnica International (STi), and Subaru World Rally team representative, Prodrive. The team left behind a thick trail of dust at Rim. SRT USA driver Mark Lovell and co-driver Steve Turvey finished first overall and first in Open class. That win was strengthened by the performance of SRT USA driver Karl Scheible and co-driver Brian Maxwell, as they finished first in Group N and fifth overall.
